4th of July Weekend

What a great weekend. Nothing beats relaxing with the family. As usual, our family had a very busy weekend. We like to jam as many activities as we possibly can each day. Friday we went to Transformers 3D! Great action movie and we of course went to Cinedome 12 because everyone knows they have the BEST popcorn.
Saturday we woke up and got Fausto’s breakfast burritos (DELICIOUS)! We came back and laid in the pool and got some color.
It was a beautiful, sunny, and hot day! The water temperature was perfect.
We ran to the mall and did a little shopping! Becca and I got new swim suits! Saturday night we all went to the temple. Everyone went and did a session and I did baptisms.
After the temple we went to Olive Garden. Who doesn’t love the bread sticks and salad? I know I LOVE them, especially with alfredo dipping sauce. It was a great night.
Sunday, of course, we went to church. It was a stormy day. We BBQ’d steaks and made homemade french fries. It rained! There is nothing like a good thunderstorm with a down pour. I love the rain. That night we sat in the pool & hot tub and watched the crazy thunderstorm over the lake. Becca and I tested our new swim suits out! They are pretty dang cute if I say so myself.
Monday we got up and got ready to go see 17 Miracles. It was a wonderful movie. It was about our pioneer ancestors. We all walked out of the movie very grateful for those who had sacrificed so much for the gospel. The Lord truly has his hands in everything that we do! After the movie we BBQ’d some burgers! The weather cleared up and we got ready for the fireworks up in Boulder City. We put on our matching shirts, got our Kentucky Fried Chicken, filled our 64 oz. soda cups, and headed up to the park.
This year they had sky divers land in the park with red, white, and blue parachutes. The last jumper had a giant American flag. It was absolutely beautiful. Sky diving is definitely on my bucket list.
Once the sun went down, the moon finally came out! I hadn’t seen it for few days! It was comforting to just sit back and stare up at it. The great part about the moon is that no matter where you are in the world the moon doesn’t change. It’s the same moon everywhere!
The fireworks show was awesome as usual. After the show we played some football. When we got home we lit off some fireworks. I love the 4th of July. I am truly grateful for those who have died to give us the freedoms that we enjoy everyday. Thank you to those who have died defending our country and thank you to those who are still defending our country. I am grateful to all of you!
Holiday weekends are the best because you get to spend it with the people that mean the most to you! There is nothing more important than family!
